PLU

In Singapore this week, an emotional letter by People Like Us, Singapore’s de facto gay rights lobby group, has failed to convince legislators to consider decriminalising homosexual oral sex when they review the Penal Code with the intention of decriminalising heterosexual oral sex.

Overheard in the forums: "Seems to me that the uptight Taiwan authorities were simply looking for an excuse to justify the raid. The raid occurred NOT because the police were concerned about public health issues BUT because the Taiwan police are anti-gay. Let's call a spade a spade, and dispense with the blatant hypocrisy." I learned...

I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.

I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.

I've learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're gone from your life.

I've learned that making a "living" is not the same thing as making a "life."

I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.

I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands. You need to be able to throw something back.

I've learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude you. But if you focus on your family, your friends, the needs of others, your work and doing the very best you can, happiness will find you.

I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.

I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one.

I've learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love that human touch - holding hands, a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.

I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.

Surrender to your Rapture

The night I laid my eyes on you
felt everything around me move
Got nervous when you looked my way
but you knew all the words to say
And your love slowly moved right in
All this time, oh my love, where've you been

Mi amore don't you know
my love I want you so
Sugar
you make my soul complete
Rapture
tastes so sweet

I'm mesmerised in everyway
You keep me in a state of bliss
Your kisses make my skin feel weak
I'm always melting in your heat
Then I soar like a bird in the wind
Oh I glide as I'm flying to heaven

Mi amore don't you know
my love I want you so
Sugar
you make my sould complete
Rapture tastes so sweet

Since we can meet behind closed doors
Spark this fire even more
No telling where we will be missed
Surrender to your Rapture
or else
lay you head at the rise of the sun
Here and then we all both be as one

Mi amore don't you know
my love I want you so
Sugar
you make my soul complete
Rapture tastes so sweet

- Rapture, iio

(This is the song that I want to be played during my funeral. And no tears allowed from anyone!)
